Apple has acknowledged that there are battery problems on some iPhone
6S models that cause the devices to unexpectedly shut down. In a
statement posted by Power Mac Center (the authorize partner and service center of Apple Inc.) in their Facebook and Twitter page, they said that the iPhone 6s Battery Replacement Program is now available in their service center.

A very small number of iPhone 6s devices have been determined by
Apple to unexpectedly shut down. This is not a safety issue and only
affects devices within a limited serial number range that were
manufactured between September and October 2015. If you have experienced

Vivo not just announced the V5 Plus but they also announced the Vivo V5 Lite. The Vivo V5 Lite is the cheapest but we don't know the price yet.
The V5 Lite doesn't have the V5 Plus'
unique dual front camera arrangement, but it does keep the "selfie
softlight" flash for its 16 MP f/2.0 snapper. The rear camera is a 13 MP

The P8 Lite (2017) will be available in various European markets by the
end of this month for €239 or roughly Php12,600 when converted. It’s
unlikely that this will come to the Philippines though.
We’ve received a tip that well-known porn sites are already blocked
by their Internet Service Providers (ISP) so we checked it ourselves. It
turns out to be true.
There’s no formal announcement from any major news agency for now
or any word from the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), but
if you could recall back in 2014 when the government issued a memorandum to local ISPs to ban the access to pornographic site in accordance with Republic Act No. 9775 which lists child pornography as a criminal act, this could be it.

authority of the Philippine Government pursuant to Republic Act 9775 or
the Anti-Child Pornography Law.”
Just last week, the Philippines ranked 14th worldwide (3rd in Asia and the only South East Asian country) among the top countries that visit Pornhub,
a popular porn website. Not only that, the Philippines is holding the
first place position when it comes to average time spent on the website.
There’s no confirmed list of blocked websites so far and it still
varies depending on your ISP. We’ll update when we get more info.
Good news for Zenfone User. A Zenfone 3 as ASUS has announced that the latest
Android version, Nougat, has rolled out for the said device.
The ASUS Zenfone 3 was announced back in May 2016 and came with

productivity suite is finally available on Google-flavored phones.
Tacitly
acknowledging that nobody is going to switch to Windows Phone just so
they can edit PowerPoint presentations with their thumbs, Microsoft
today officially made Office available for Android phones,
free of charge. (It has been available for Android tablets since
February.) A preview version has been available in the Google Play store
since mid-May.
Now
you can take your weighty Word docs, impressive Excel spreadsheets, and
scintillating PowerPoint presentations with you, edit them on your
Android phone, and then share all that Microsofty goodness with your
colleagues. When you open the files on your computer, all your changes
will be there, formatted correctly.
For
that to work, of course, you’ll need to store your docs in the cloud.
Office for Android phone can connect to most of the major cloud storage
services, including Google Drive, Box, Dropbox, and Microsoft’s
Sharepoint or OneDrive (obviously), but not iCloud.
Microsoft is making this version of Office free for personal use. If you want to use it commercially, you’ll need a paid subscription to Office 365
(at $10 a month, or $100 per year). The premium version will also give
you a handful of extra features in Android Office, such as the ability
to track edit changes in Word or annotate slides using PowerPoint Ink
and save the information.

for Android Phones will work on Android handsets running KitKat
(Android 4.4) and Lollipop (5.x); Microsoft says it will also support
Google’s upcoming version of Android, known today only as “M,” when it
becomes available. Office will come preloaded on Android phones from
major handset makers — such as Samsung, LG, and Sony — later this year.
Nintendo played to “Super Mario” fans on Tuesday while talking
transformation as the Japanese video game giant strived to regain
momentum. “If there is a secret to the longevity of Nintendo franchises, it is
transformation,” Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime said
during a presentation streamed online before the show floor opened at an
Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) video game extravaganza here. “We never let them stand still.”
While console rivals Xbox One and PlayStation 4 were stars of
theatrical E3 media events in Los Angeles a day earlier, Nintendo opted
to go digital for the second year. Xbox and PlayStation consoles from Microsoft and Sony, respectively,
are known for immersive, action-packed games nearing film quality while
Nintendo has built a devoted following for closely-protected franchises
such as Mario and Legend of Zelda. But the one-time industry titan has long been criticized for its
refusal to license some of its iconic brands for use on mobile
applications. In a sign that Nintendo may be loosening its grip a bit, Fils-Aime
announced a partnership with Activision to add “Donkey Kong” and
“Bowser” characters to the video game publisher’s successful Skylanders
line-up. Skylanders has been a hit with real-world figurines embedded with
chips that synchronize them to arena-style platforms plugged into
consoles, essentially letting youngsters carry about customized
champions they can drop into on-screen games. Donkey Kong and Bowser will have vehicles and be part of a Skylanders
SuperChargers offering from Activision in September. The play pieces
will also work as “amiibos” in compatible Nintendo games. Super Mario turns 30 Nintendo also said it will mark the 30th anniversary of its iconic
“Super Mario” franchise this year with the release in September of a
game that will let people create their own levels for play. The Japanese video game stalwart on Tuesday launched a
LetsSuperMario.com website where lovers of the franchise can upload
video tributes. Fils-Amie said that Nintendo’s transformation includes broadening out
into theme parks, mobile devices, and even a new dedicated game
platform about which it will reveal more next year. At E3 this week, Nintendo will provide early looks at new
installments to beloved franchises including Star Fox, Yoshi, Metroid,
and Mario & Luigi. Nintendo’s offerings were tailored for Wii U and its 3DS handheld
gaming devices that have lost luster as lifestyles turn to play on
smartphones or tablets. The Kyoto-based company hopes to offset weakening demand for its 3DS
portable game system with plans to jump into the booming smartphone
games market — a long awaited departure from its consoles-only policy. “A new source of revenue is expected from a gaming application for
smart devices which will be released this year,” Nintendo said after
releasing earnings figures in May. In March, Nintendo unveiled plans to buy a stake in Tokyo-based
mobile gaming company DeNA as part of a deal to develop smartphone games
based on Nintendo’s host of popular characters. Fils-Amie described Nintendo’s E3 line-up as “familiar characters and

Six-digit passcodes

Two-factor authentication

released decision on a trademark case. The case, filed in June 2009 by Apple Inc. against then
Philippine-based startup Solid Broadband Corporation, opposed the mark
"my|phone" for its being "identical" to the well-known iPhone. In a decision penned May 19, the IPO said it is not sufficient to say consumers will be confused with the two marks. "To the eyes, there is striking different between the words 'I' and
'MY'. There is resemblance as to the sound ... However, they are still
distinct," lawyer Nathaniel Arevalo, director IV of the IPO's bureau of
legal affairs said. Apple claimed my|phone is "confusingly similar" and "virtually
indistinguishable" to the "IPHONE" mark, and could be "likely to deceive
or cause confusion." "This is plainly apparent from a simple comparison of the marks. The
combination of the element '/', which looks like a slanted letter 'I',
with the word 'PHONE' to form /phone ... makes it identical in terms of
appearance," the California-based company said.
Solid Broadband, however, argued that it has remained and maintained
to be a Philippine and not an international brand, even employing local
celebrity endorsers for it. "This is a case of giant trying to claim more territory that what it
is entitled to, to the great prejudice of a local 'Pinoy Phone' merchant
who has managed to obtain a significant foothold in the mobile phone
market," Solid Broadband said. It also claimed that my|phone has a "very distinctive trademark" and has "absolutely no confusing similarity" with the iPhone. Arevalo said, however, that the marketing campaigns of the two companies also bring "no likelihood of confusion of business." "It is improbable for one who is buying or using my|phone products to
be reminded of the mark iPhone," the IPO lawyer said, dismissing the
case. "The buying public should be credited with a modicum of intelligence
and discernment in purchasing articles, such as gadgets and mobile
phone," he added. He argued that brand patronage or consciousness is prevalent in purchasing mobile phones. The public is also unlikely to believe that my|phone is an Apple
product since the American company has consistently been using the
letter "I" or "i" for its products.
On Wednesday during its keynote address at the Taipei International Convention Center, Microsoft showcased the improvements its next operating system will bring to existing computers and offered a sneak peek at some of the new devices inspired by its capabilities that are in the pipeline.
Windows 10 becomes available for free download on July 29, and Microsoft has made no secret of its ultimate aim to get 1 billion devices using the operating system before the end of the decade -- a goal reiterated by the company's corporate vice president OEM division, Nick Parker, when he took to the stage.

They included a new Dell notebook, the XPS 15, which boasts an almost bezel-free display, and the latest in the Asus Transformer Book series of 2-in-1 laptops which now offers a 14-hour battery life.
A new take on the 2-in-1 from HP called the X2 was also on show featuring a clever magnetic hinge design for detaching the keyboard and converting the device into a tablet and offering native support for a stylus.
In all, 96 new devices are in the pipeline for launch before the end of 2015 and as well as computers that are about to go on sale, Microsoft also demoed two never-before-seen devices boasting new form factors but with no confirmed release dates.
An ultra-portable desktop from FoxConn called the Kangaroo has an integrated fingerprint scanner and when connected, turns a television into a full PC. And a mini-PC integrated into a power adaptor called the Compute Plug and developed by Quanta plugs into a television's HDMI port and enables users to control the set via voice commands, a remote control or wireless keyboard.
